Afghanistan Seeks Foreign Investment in Talks With Afghan–American Council
DID Press: Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, under the Taliban administration, said its head held talks with members of the Afghan–American Business Council focused on expanding trade ties, attracting U.S. and European investment, and strengthening economic cooperation.

In a statement issued on Wednesday (May 20), the chamber said both sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation between Afghanistan’s private sector and international companies and investors, emphasizing the creation of new opportunities for trade and investment.
The meeting also covered efforts to increase engagement between Afghan traders and foreign economic institutions, streamline investment procedures, and support the growth of Afghanistan’s private sector.
