DID Press: Authorities at Ercan International Airport in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) have arrested a 24-year-old Israeli national after discovering four human fetuses in his luggage.
According to reports by Ynet, security personnel found a cryogenic container known as a “Life Pack” during a routine inspection, in which the fetuses were being stored.
The man was reportedly traveling via Istanbul en route to Mexico when he was detained.
He has been formally charged by a court with “illegal transportation of human cells and tissues” and remains in pre-trial detention while investigations continue.
