Kabul: Afghanistan–Iran Relations Remain Unbreakable
DID Press: Senior Taliban administration official Abdul Wasea has described relations between Afghanistan and Iran as “unbreakable,” emphasizing the importance of expanding bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors.

During a meeting with Alireza Bikdeli in Kabul, Abdul Wasea said the two neighboring Muslim countries share deep historical, cultural, and political ties that have continued to strengthen in recent years.
He noted that trade exchanges between Afghanistan and Iran continued even during the recent conflict involving Iran, describing the sustained economic activity as evidence of the resilience and strength of bilateral relations.
The Afghan official also stressed the need to expand cooperation in trade, investment, transit, and other areas of mutual interest, calling for continued consultations to further develop ties between the two countries.
For his part, Bikdeli reaffirmed the importance of friendly relations between Tehran and Kabul, stating that broader cooperation serves the shared interests of both nations and contributes to regional stability and economic development.
The meeting reflects ongoing efforts by both sides to deepen economic and diplomatic engagement amid evolving regional dynamics.
