DID Press: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said that the “martyrdom” of the Islamic revolution leader represents not an end, but the beginning of a new phase, as Iran prepares for funeral and farewell ceremonies.

In a message issued ahead of the public ceremony for what he described as the “martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution,” Pezeshkian said the name and legacy of the figure would remain immortal in the memory of the nation, adding that “a proud Iran is the lasting legacy of those who fought for independence.”
He stressed that national unity, public awareness, and resistance against external pressure were key to ensuring security, stability, and a brighter future for the country.
Calling on the Iranian public to participate in the upcoming ceremonies, the president urged citizens from all ethnic, religious, and political backgrounds to attend in large numbers, describing the event as a demonstration of national unity and loyalty to the ideals of the Islamic system.
Pezeshkian also said that broad public participation would send a clear message rejecting violence and coercion, and show that the Iranian nation remains united in defending its independence and dignity.
