Ben-Gvir Cancels New York Trip Amid Legal Pressure
DID Press: Israeli media reports say Israel’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has canceled his planned visit to New York, where he was expected to attend a United Nations Police Chiefs’ meeting, amid rising legal pressure and allegations related to prison policies and war crimes.

According to Haaretz, citing officials from the Ministry of National Security, the decision comes as protests were being planned against his visit and human rights organizations intensified calls for investigations and possible arrest.
The report adds that the Belgium-based Hind Rajab Foundation has urged US authorities to arrest and prosecute Ben-Gvir over what it described as “prison-related crimes.”
Ben-Gvir had been scheduled to participate in the UN Police Chiefs’ summit in New York on Tuesday and Wednesday, but the trip was ultimately canceled due to escalating international and legal scrutiny.
