11 Pakistani Soldiers Killed in Balochistan Clash

DID Press: Pakistani security sources say 11 soldiers and 19 armed militants were killed during a security operation along the N-25 Highway in Balochistan, the latest in a series of escalating security incidents in the province.

According to security officials, the intelligence-based operation was launched in the area between Jhao Cross and Kararo after armed men blocked a section of the N-25 Highway and allegedly extorted money from travelers and local residents.

The military said security forces regained control of the area following several hours of fighting, during which 11 Pakistani troops and 19 militants were killed.

The incident came just a day after another attack on a police checkpoint in the Ziarat District, where at least nine police officers were killed, raising fresh concerns over the deteriorating security situation in the province.

Balochistan has witnessed frequent insurgent attacks in recent years targeting security forces, government installations, and transport infrastructure, making it one of Pakistan’s most volatile regions.
