Taliban Agriculture Delegation Visits Moldova to Expand Agricultural Cooperation

DID Press: A senior delegation from Afghanistan’s Taliban-run Ministry of Agriculture has departed for Moldova on an official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in agriculture, scientific research and modern farming technologies.

According to a statement issued by the Taliban’s Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, the delegation is headed by Mawlawi Sadr Azam Osmani and is visiting Moldova at the official invitation of the country’s Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry of the Republic of Moldova.

The visit, scheduled to run from 2 to 7 August 2026, is expected to focus on expanding cooperation in plant protection, agricultural research, pest management, modern agricultural technologies, and scientific and technical collaboration between the two sides.

The Taliban administration said the talks are intended to strengthen agricultural partnerships and facilitate the exchange of expertise as Afghanistan seeks to improve productivity and modernize its agricultural sector.
