Baradar Urges Global Focus on Afghanistan Development Projects

DID Press: Abdul Ghani Baradar, the Taliban’s acting deputy prime minister for economic affairs, has called on the United Nations and international organizations to focus more of their assistance on development projects in Afghanistan.

Baradar said development-focused support should prioritize providing shelter, building schools, expanding access to electricity and clean drinking water, creating job opportunities, and delivering essential services for returning migrants and internally displaced people.

While expressing appreciation for humanitarian assistance provided by the United Nations and international agencies, Baradar emphasized that long-term development programs should become a priority to sustainably address the needs of vulnerable communities.

Meanwhile, Barham Salih praised development efforts in Afghanistan and expressed hope that the international community would mobilize further support to improve living conditions for Afghan citizens.
