Egypt Rejects ‘Greater Israel’ Plan as Doomed to Fail

DID Press: Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty has dismissed the so-called “Greater Israel” project, saying any initiative based on unilateral imposition rather than regional consensus is destined to fail.

Commenting on recent regional developments, Abdelatty said proposals that disregard the rights of peoples and seek to impose one-sided solutions cannot succeed in the Middle East.

He stressed that resolving the region’s crises requires cooperation among regional states, adding that any future political and security arrangements should be based on collective regional will and respect for the sovereignty of all countries.

The Egyptian foreign minister also said lasting peace and stability in the Middle East can only be achieved through dialogue, regional cooperation, and adherence to international law, arguing that pressure-based and unilateral approaches cannot deliver sustainable security.
