Afghanistan, India Discuss Expanding Trade and Investment Ties

DID Press: Afghanistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Investment met with India’s chargé d’affaires in Kabul to discuss expanding bilateral trade and investment, with both sides emphasizing stronger economic cooperation and easier market access.

According to a statement released on Saturday by the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, the meeting focused on increasing exports, facilitating bilateral trade, simplifying the issuance of business visas, improving transportation links, and expanding cooperation in the agriculture, mining, and handicrafts sectors.

The two sides also discussed organizing joint trade exhibitions, exchanging business delegations, and promoting long-term cooperation between the private sectors of Afghanistan and India.

The talks come as both countries seek to strengthen commercial ties despite broader regional and political challenges.
