DID Press: Afghanistan’s national futsal team suffered a second consecutive defeat at the Continental Futsal Championship 2026, losing 2–1 to Vietnam despite a competitive performance in their second match of the tournament.
Afghanistan fought hard throughout the game but failed to secure points, leaving the team without a point in the standings after two matches.
The Afghan side will now prepare for its next match against Russia, as it looks to recover from back-to-back losses and improve its position in the competition.
The Continental Futsal Championship 2026 is being held in Thailand with the participation of Afghanistan, Thailand, Vietnam, Russia and New Zealand.
