DID Press: Israel’s Channel 12 has reported that Mossad chief Roman Gofman has dismissed two senior officials who were responsible for planning special operations targeting Iran, in a move analysts view as a sign of internal divisions and operational setbacks within Israel’s intelligence establishment.
According to the report, the two officials played key roles in planning operations aimed at destabilizing Iran’s government. Their identities have not been disclosed, but sources confirmed that one headed Mossad’s intelligence division, a position he took up last December, while the other was responsible for the agency’s Iran portfolio.
