ICRC: More Than 615,000 Patients Received Healthcare Services in Afghanistan

DID Press: More than 615,000 people in Afghanistan received healthcare services from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) during the first six months of this year, according to a new report by the organization.

The ICRC said that between January and June, primary healthcare services were provided to 615,766 patients across 47 health facilities in different parts of Afghanistan.

The services are part of the ICRC’s humanitarian efforts to help vulnerable communities access essential healthcare.

During the same period, 105,932 people with disabilities visited seven rehabilitation centers and received medical and rehabilitation services, the organization said.
