724 Aid Trucks Cross Torkham Into Afghanistan, UN Says

DID Press: Muhammad Yahya, the United Nations humanitarian coordinator in Pakistan, said Pakistan has authorized the entry of 724 trucks carrying humanitarian assistance into Afghanistan through the Torkham border crossing.

According to Yahya, the aid shipments will be distributed among vulnerable and needy families across Afghanistan.

The announcement comes as the United Nations reports the arrival of the aid convoys, while the Taliban authorities have not issued any official comment on the development.
