Freedom Front Blames Taliban for Insecurity in Western Kabul
DID Press: Afghanistan’s Freedom Front has condemned a deadly blast outside the private Shama-e Hedayat school in Kabul’s Dasht-e Barchi district as a “terrorist attack,” accusing the Taliban of failing to protect the area.

In a statement, the group said Monday’s explosion on August 17 was part of a series of organized attacks targeting Afghanistan’s Hazara and Shia communities, particularly students and civilians in western Kabul.
Hospital sources reported that nearly 50 people were wounded in the blast, most of them schoolchildren. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, while the Taliban has not publicly commented on the incident.
The Freedom Front, referring to what it called the involvement of “elements within the Taliban regime” in such attacks, described the group’s claims of nationwide security as a “major lie.” It said genuine security could only be achieved by preventing terrorist attacks and holding those responsible for crimes accountable.
The group also called on the international community to independently investigate the attack and identify and prosecute those responsible.
