UN Updates Sanctions List Details for 4 Senior Taliban Officials
DID Press: United Nations Security Council sanctions committee has updated identifying information for four senior members of the Taliban already listed under its sanctions regime.

The review covers Mohammad Hassan Akhund, the Taliban’s prime minister, Abdul Ghani Baradar, deputy prime minister, Amir Khan Muttaqi, foreign minister, and Hedayatullah Badri, minister of mines and petroleum.
According to the statement, the individuals remain under existing UN sanctions, while the latest changes involve corrections and updates to identity records and official documentation details.
The update comes as UN sanctions targeting senior Taliban figures remain in place, with periodic revisions conducted to ensure accuracy and integrity of the sanctions database.
