DID Press: Pakistan has strongly condemned an Israeli airstrike on the Abu al-Duhur air base near Aleppo, Syria, calling the attack an arbitrary action and a violation of international law.
Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said the Israeli strike on the Syrian military facility was contrary to international law and expressed solidarity with the Syrian government and people.
According to reports, Israeli fighter jets struck sections of the air base’s runway and storage facilities eight times. The facility is located about 70 km from the Syrian-Turkish border.
No casualties have been reported so far in connection with the strikes.
Islamabad urged the international community to respond to what it described as violations of international law and Syria’s territorial integrity, and called for Israel to be held accountable.
