Taliban Delegation Visits Major Industrial Facilities in Belarus

DID Press: A Taliban delegation led by Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock Minister Attaullah Omari has visited several major state-owned and private companies and industrial facilities in Belarus as part of efforts to expand economic cooperation between Kabul and Minsk.

The delegation toured facilities involved in grain processing and storage, chemical and fertilizer production, food processing, dairy products, sugar and meat production, as well as veterinary pharmaceuticals.

Among the facilities visited was the state-owned BNBK, which operates in grain processing and storage and the production of fertilizers and food products. The delegation also visited the Slutsk Cheese-Making Company, sugar-processing plants, a meat-processing facility and a state-owned veterinary medicine manufacturer.

The visit forms part of the Taliban government’s efforts to expand economic engagement with Belarus and explore opportunities to benefit from the country’s industrial and agricultural capabilities.

The tour also comes after recent discussions between Afghan and Belarusian officials on trade, agricultural cooperation, technology transfer, machinery, fertilizer production, food processing and investment.
