Taliban Accuses Pakistan of Providing Training Facilities to Its Opponents

DID Press: Taliban’s police commander in Badakhshan has accused Pakistan of providing training facilities for Taliban opponents and attempting to destabilize districts along the border with Pakistan.

Abdul Basir Mazhari told the BBC that anti-Taliban groups had attempted to carry out attacks, but said those attempts had been unsuccessful.Pakistan has denied the allegations.

Meanwhile, Dawood Naji, head of the political committee of the Afghanistan Freedom Front, dismissed the Taliban’s claims of Pakistani support for opposition groups as an attempt at deflection.

Mazhari also confirmed that Juma Khan Fateh, a disgruntled Taliban commander who surrendered after an uprising in the Nusay district, will face a military trial in Kabul.
