Afghan Entrepreneur Launches Online Bus Ticket Booking and Delivery Service
DID Press: Afghan entrepreneur Sadaf Afghan has launched an online platform in Kabul that allows passengers to book and pay for bus tickets remotely and have them delivered to their homes, reducing the need to visit bus terminals. The service operates through Qasid (qasid.af).

Afghan developed the platform about a year ago and launched its online ticket-booking and purchasing service five months later with a three-member team. The business has since grown to eight employees, including four women, who handle ticket reservations and deliveries.
The platform allows customers to select bus routes, make payments and receive their tickets at home. Qasid’s mobile application is also available online and was updated in August 2026.
Afghan said she hopes to expand the service to other Afghan provinces and create additional employment opportunities for both women and men. She has also called for greater government support for travel-service companies and improvements to Afghanistan’s transport system.
One of the company’s employees, 20-year-old Tamanah Mohammadi, delivers tickets to customers in Kabul by motorcycle. She said the work has encouraged her and expressed hope that similar opportunities will become available to more women.
Afghan also plans to expand Qasid’s services to include online airline-ticket reservations in the future.
