Taliban Search for Rah-e Farda TV Employees

DID Press: Sources say that following the Taliban’s suspension of Rah-e Farda Television, the group has begun searching for several employees of the media outlet.

According to sources, some Rah-e Farda employees have left Kabul over fears of arrest.

It remains unclear why the Taliban are searching for the media workers, but the move comes amid growing pressure by the Taliban on the Hazara and Shia communities in Kabul.

In recent days, the Taliban have suspended the activities of Rah-e Farda Television and Khatam al-Nabieen School and closed the public relations office of Shia community elders.

Meanwhile, several Shia community figures have also been detained by the Taliban, and days later, there is still no information about their whereabouts or fate.
