DID Press: Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the Taliban government, condemned Pakistani military airstrikes on Afghanistan’s Kunar and Paktika provinces, calling them a repetition of what he described as a “war crime.”
The “military circle in Pakistan” had carried out attacks on Afghanistan territory in an attempt to divert public attention from security failures inside the country, said Mujahid on Monday, September 21.
The Taliban spokesperson stressed that the attacks “will not go unanswered,” saying Kabul will give an “appropriate response.”
Regarding casualties from the attack in Kunar, Mujahid said one woman and two men were killed, while two women and two men were wounded.
“In Paktika province, a house and a local shop were targeted in an airstrike, but no casualties were reported,” Mujahid added.
