US Navy MH-60R Helicopter Disappears From Tracking Near Saudi Coast

DID Press: A U.S. Navy MH-60R Seahawk helicopter declared an emergency while flying over the Red Sea near the Saudi city of Yanbu before disappearing from publicly available flight-tracking systems, according to flight-tracking data and reports.

The helicopter was reportedly flying at an altitude of about 475 feet when it declared the emergency. Its displayed altitude subsequently dropped to zero before the aircraft disappeared from the tracking service.

As of the latest reports, the U.S. Navy had not officially confirmed a crash or provided information about the helicopter’s crew or condition. The reason for the emergency also remains unclear.

Some reports circulating on social media have suggested that the helicopter may have crashed into the Red Sea, but there has been no official confirmation of a crash or casualties.
