DID Press: Following an escalation in missile attacks by Sanaa forces against Saudi positions and facilities, including Abha and King Khalid airports, the United States has warned of worsening security conditions and the possibility of the conflict spreading in the country.

According to the report, the facilities of Abha and King Khalid airports were targeted in recent missile attacks, leaving a number of people killed and wounded. While Yahya Saree, spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, said that a missile had struck its target, the Saudi side claimed that it had intercepted the missile. However, reports of casualties and damage near the airports have raised questions about the extent of the success of Saudi Arabia’s air-defense systems.
Meanwhile, the United States, citing the possibility of an escalation in tensions, has warned its citizens about the security situation in Saudi Arabia.
The increase in Saudi airstrikes against positions in Yemen, alongside missile responses by Sanaa forces, indicates that the conflict has entered a new phase in which ballistic missiles are being used not only to target airports and military bases but also gatherings of military personnel.
