DID Press: Hossein Mohebi, spokesperson for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has announced that the force is preparing to unveil a new weapon dubbed the “Father of All Bombs,” which he said would be something new to its adversaries.
“We are in the preparation phase for unveiling the Father of All Bombs. This will be something new for the enemy,” Mohebi said.
The remarks come amid escalating military tensions between Iran and the United States. Western sources have discussed the possibility that the United States could use its non-nuclear bomb known as the “Mother of All Bombs” against targets in Iran in the next phase of the war.
Military experts have described the IRGC spokesperson’s remarks as a sign of Iran’s deterrence capabilities against US threats. They have also warned that a new round of war between Iran and the United States could be far more destructive than previous confrontations.
Meanwhile, as US sources report declining American missile stockpiles during the war with Iran, the IRGC spokesperson said Iran’s missile reserves had increased by approximately 50 per cent following the 12-day war with Israel.
He added that during the same period, Iran had significantly improved the range, destructive power and accuracy of its missiles.
