Taliban: Insecurity in Pakistan Does Not Benefit Afghanistan

DID Press: Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesperson for the Taliban government, has rejected Pakistani officials’ allegations that the group is involved in insecurity in Pakistan, saying instability in the neighbouring country does not benefit Afghanistan.

Fitrat stressed that Afghanistan is neither seeking to create insecurity in Pakistan nor has the capacity to do so.

He urged Pakistani officials to take responsibility for their country’s security instead of accusing Afghanistan, and to take action to contain insecurity within Pakistan.
