Taliban Scraps AFN 500,000 Guarantee for Business Licences
DID Press: Taliban’s supreme leader has ordered the abolition of the AFN 500,000 guarantee previously required for issuing business licenses in Afghanistan and directed that previously paid guarantees be refunded to their owners.

Hibatullah Akhundzada, the Taliban’s leader, issued the order scrapping the financial guarantee for business licence applicants. Under the directive, guarantees collected under the previous system must also be returned.
The order also removes several other administrative requirements, including the submission of bank statements, business plans and Afghan Post cards.
Under the directive, the Taliban’s Administrative Affairs Office has been tasked with simplifying the business licensing process and identifying the competent authority responsible for issuing licences in each sector.
