Ousting Balkh Governor; ARG danced with Hekmatyar’s Tune

The leader of Hezb-e Islami Hekmatyar emphasized more on the dismissal of Ata M. Noor.


According to disclosed news from Afghan presidential palace, the Afghan president decided to dismiss Ata M. Noor as Balkh governor under the pressures of Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, U.S embassy, British embassy, and adviser to the security council.
The decision was made in a joint meeting of Hekmatyar, Ashraf Ghani, ambassadors of America and Britain and Hanif Atmar, emphasizing on implementing it as soon as possible.

According to an informed source from ARG palace, Ashraf Ghani had made the decision to dismiss Ata M. Noor as Balkh governor during a joint meeting with US ambassador, British ambassador and Hanif Atmar a week ago.

According to the source, all participants of the meeting agreed on removing Mr. Noor as governor and stressed on its implementation.
“The leader of Hezb-e Islami Hekmatyar emphasized more on the dismissal of Ata M. Noor; since transferring Balkh leadership to “Joma Khan Hamdard,” the former governor of Paktia and current adviser to Ashraf Ghani, had been a precondition of a peace agreement between Afghan government and Hekmatyar,” the source said.
Hekmatyar had repeatedly criticized Ghani and the ruling team for failing to overthrow a governor.

According to some experts, Hekmatyar, who has always been accused of secretly and openly supporting Daesh terror group in Afghanistan, is pushing to take a foothold in the north of the country and thus, having an affective role in expanding ISIL.
