The US ambassador to Kabul speaks of Iran’s support to the Taliban, after the explicit statements of US forces commander in Afghanistan Gen. Nicholson about the procurement of weapons to the Taliban by Russia.
John Bass expressed the Iranian Revolutionary Guard provides logistical support to the Taliban in Afghanistan.
He said there are signs that the Iranian government at various levels supports the Taliban in Afghanistan and warned that this war could make the eastern borders of Iran insecure.
“It makes eastern borders of Iran insecure,” said Mr Bass.
“It is difficult for us to know why Iran sees the war in Afghanistan in its interests,” he added.
The Taliban bazaar seems to be getting hotter. Such a question should not be taken into account in the mind of John Bass; because without mentioning this, the Iranians are fully aware that a (hard-late) war has been planned for Iran.
This question should be carved in the brain of John Bass; whether Russia and Iran planned Mujahidin’s Jihad decade against the Soviet to the decade of Islamic Emirate Jihad against the United States of America? The cost of losing Pakistan was very heavy.
