A number of residents in western Ghor province who displaced to Herat province, protested against the insecurity in their province on Sunday.
These people were forced to leave their home and sought refuge in western Herat province; as Taliban insurgents attacked Shahrak and Du Layna districts of Ghor province.

Ghor residents say: “the whole province will fall to Taliban if the situation continues this way”.
They accuse the local and central government of ignoring the province, urging serious measures against the Taliban group.

“The central government and local administration are ignoring the recent events and are asleep. If the government is not indifferent, then, many people will not shed blood this way. They can seriously act against insurgents,” said Fazaluddin Mozahhary, the head of Ghor’s Student Association.

“If the government keeps silent about the fall of Awshan village and other villages, we will witness the fall of Firozkoh, the center of Ghor province,” he added.

On the other hand, the provincial police chief Iqbal Nezami said serious measures are underway against the Taliban group and we will soon hear good news.
