Undoubtedly, the main task of the election commission as the organizer body is to release the final list of the candidates for the parliamentary election. The parliamentary and district council elections are expected to be held on 20 October.

If the election commission does not review the documents of the candidates, the people will lose their trust to election process more than ever.
News handed over on social networks that some candidates have been removed from the list over distributing weapons. This indicates that people as a major supporter of the election expect some candidates will be removed from the final list as well. in addition to the candidates, the people also await the election commission to release the final list of the candidates.

When the election commission announced the final list of the 1398 (solar year) parliamentary election, it turned into a major challenge. Many candidates for the parliamentary election claimed that their political rival gave bribe to the election commission to remove their name from the final list.

According to reports, a number of candidates for the parliamentary election have already come to Kabul, waiting for the final list. The political and security conditions of the country face a major crisis on the eve of the October 20 election. The election commission should push to avoid another challenge.
“These days, I have stress whether my name will be on the final list or not,” one of the candidates for the parliamentary election said.
The electoral complaints commission said those who had violated human rights and irresponsible armed men will not include the final list of the 20 October election. This issue is posed while public opinions discuss that candidates will be removed from the final list due to distributing weapons.

The Electoral Complaints Commission signed an agreement with the Attorney General of the country which both sides emphasized holding a transparent and fair election. Signing the agreement is an important step to follow up electoral crime files. If both sides take steps without surrendering, part of the transparency of the forthcoming election will be guaranteed.

It is not clear whether electoral files will be transparently and fairly judged or not due to widespread corruption at Afghan courts. It is necessary for the Attorney General’s Office to keep its impartiality in electoral cases.
