Officials in Jawzjan province confirmed that Khamab district captured by Taliban after severe clashes between their fighters and the security forces.
There is no information about the casualties of the security forces during the clashes.
According to sources, lack of ammunition and government reinforcement were the main cause of the fall of the district.
It is worth mentioning that Taliban could capture villages close to northern Sar-e Pul province on Sunday as well.
