The residence of northern Balkh province on Saturday broadly expressed support from the candidacy of Sayed Alireza Mahmoodi in the upcoming parliamentary election.
The residence of Mazar-e Sharif city attended the election rally of Mr. Mahmoodi, saying that “we will compensate our past mistake by voting to Mr. Mahmoodi”.
One of the participants at the election rally said: “Mahmoodi nominated himself to serve his people, and we welcome this clean intention”.
Akhtar Suhail, a journalist said: “the people have the opportunity to participate in the upcoming election without ethnic and linguistic issues. “the people’s ethnic approach to the election has led the electoral process to depend on ethnic beliefs and,” he added.
According to him, if the people consciously participate at the Oct. 20 election, undoubtedly, the outcome will turn into an opportunity.
The parliamentary election is scheduled to be held in the coming Saturday.
