Afghan National Security Adviser to President Ghani Hamdullah Mohib said that government knows no “good” and “bad” terrorists and anyone, who fights against the national interests of Afghanistan is counted as an enemy.
Addressing a ceremony held on Saturday to introduce Asadullah Khalid as acting head of the Defense Ministry, Mr Mohib said: “the government will pursue the peace process, but will decisively act against those who kill the civilians”.
“current reshuffles indicate the government’s determination against the terrorists,” he added. “the government believes in peace but the enemy should be forced to accept peace,” he stressed.

Although the Afghan government’s against the anti-government oppositions was soft, the government’s stance has recently changed against them.
“the people want peace and the army is at service of the people’s demands, but we want an honorable peace,” said Asadullah Khalid, the acting Defense Minister who was addressing the ceremony.
Mr Khalid talked about further reforms in the Ministry of Defense and thorough attention to the Afghan forces, who he described as the decision makers of this country.

Last week, President Ghani appointed Asadullah Khalid and Amrullah Saleh as the acting Defense Minister and Interior Minister respectively.
According to some experts, the government’s U-turn against the armed oppositions – from a defense status to offensive one – indicates that the government’s disappointment about peace talks.
