Taliban group reportedly attacked security checkpoints in north eastern Takhar province on Wednesday night, killing at least 8 Afghan security forces.

According to reports, Taliban attacked Takhar’s Khwaja Ghar district on Wednesday night.
Mohammad Umar, district governor of Khwaja Ghar said at least 8 security forces were killed and 14 more wounded during the attack.

Meanwhile, security sources say the attack was repulsed by Afghan security forces.
