The Administrative Office of the President on Saturday said President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has approved the merger of the Independent Land Directorate with the Ministry of Urban Development.
The decree states that the merger has been approved in a bid to implement reforms in the administrative sector and prevent the inflation of the growing parallel administrative directorates.
According to some sources, the two directorates have provincial offices in all provinces of Afghanistan and with the merger of the two administrative, a large number of the two directorate personnel will lose their work.
After four years, the cabinet of the National Unity Government has not been completed, and the acting ministers run some ministries.
