It is said that President Ghani had asked Abdul Rab Rassoul Sayyaf to chair the peace consultative Loya Jirga, which was supposedly rejected by Mr Sayyaf.
On the other hand, according to unconfirmed reports, many prominent members of the committee, organizing the peace Jirga, have resigned.
They are expected to hold a press conference and give details regarding the issue.
The peace consultative Jirga is scheduled to be held in Kabul on 29 April and continue for three days. 3000 people from across the country are expected to attend the Jirga.
