Afghan War is the War on Future of Humanity
Resolute Support Mission Commander in Afghanistan General John Nicholson said losing the battle in Afghanistan is unimaginable; because this war is not only important for the future of Afghanistan but for all humanity as well.
General Nicholson made the remarks Saturday at a ceremony in Kabul where he praised foreign soldiers wounded in action.
“The War in Afghanistan is one of the important battles in the world, and the victory should be for the government of Afghanistan,” Nicholson said.
Meanwhile, more than 3,500 foreign troops have been killed and hundreds have been wounded in the seventeen-year battle of foreign forces in Afghanistan, according to statistics.
However, despite Nicholson’s emphasis on winning the Afghan war, he welcomed the Afghan government’s peace offer for the Taliban and said it is a good opportunity for the Taliban to stop fighting.
