Ashraf Ghani Discusses Peace, Elections with PM Khan

“Considering the precedence of Pakistan’s help in reduction of violence during past elections, President Ghani asked Pakistan to help mitigate violence in the upcoming elections,” Arg said in a statement.
“Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed his condolence and sympathy over the latest terrorist attacks in Parwan and Kabul, and promised to put efforts in place within their capacity to help in holding the elections,” the statement added.

Afghan presidential election is expected to be held on 28 September as 16 candidates will compete for presidency.
It is worth mentioning that the US, EU and UN urged transparency and credibility in Afghanistan’s elections.
