Bureaucracy Damages Country’s Industries: Ghani

President Ashraf Ghani said at a trade finance conference in Kabul that bureaucracy and paperwork have led to a lack of growth in the industrial and trade sectors of the country.



President Ashraf Ghani said at a trade finance conference in Kabul that bureaucracy and paperwork have led to a lack of growth in the industrial and trade sectors of the country.
“The elected procurement people by the administrative reform commission should carry out the best service to people for obtaining the highest rates,” Mr Ghani stressed.

President Ghani also said that thousands of women are busy in the carpet industry, but the bureaucracy of government offices prevented this industry not grow well.
“Afghanistan is a landlocked country but it is also a transit route for energy and goods from Central Asia to South Asia,” he added. “this is a good opportunity for the country to reach economic growth.”
Mr Ghani also talked about reform within the State Department, saying people should know that individuals who are representing them abroad are the most competent people being elected.

Ghani stressed that 40% of the people are living below the poverty line, and the government’s biggest goal should be to bring about positive change in the people’s lives.
