In the last two years, efforts have been made to end this war, but unfortunately, so far, this effort has not resulted in tangible results. Various summits in the regional countries have been held to end the war in Afghanistan.
A new meeting was held in Russia for this purpose. According to some sources, the representatives of the Taliban once again insisted on the withdrawal of American forces from the Afghan territory; something has repeatedly been posed by the group.
At the meeting, Afghanistan and the United States’s place was vacant. This is an opportunity for the Taliban’s political maneuver. The 18-year war has reached a strategic impasse for the Afghan government and its supporters, especially the United States. Both sides are trying to get out of this deadlock and win this battle.
According to the author, the ongoing war for the Taliban is not deadlocked; that’s why the group is not rushing to negotiate, and exactly what the political analysts are saying.
