Death toll of Kabul Sunday Attack Rises: official
The first Vice President Amrullah Saleh says 10 people were killed and 52 more were injured during Sunday’s terror attack on MP’s convoy.
Mr Saleh said on Monday morning that a six-year-old child was among the victims too.
“Of those injured in the incident, only six remained in hospitals, and the rest were discharged from the hospitals,” he said.
On Sunday morning, a powerful explosion took place in PD-5 of capital Kabul. The security sources announced that the convoy of Khan Mohammad Wardak, a member of the House of Representatives, was the target of the attack.
The Ministry of Interior Affairs said in a statement that 9 people were killed and 20 others, including Khan Mohammad Wardak, were wounded in the attack.
No individual or group claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
