Details of Dostum – Ghani Meeting
The office of first vice president Gen. Dostum released the details of the meeting with president Ashraf Ghani held Monday in presidential palace (ARG), attended by second vice president Sarwar Danish and the Chief Executive Officer of the National Unity Government (NUG) Abdullah Abdullah.

According to a statement released by Gen. Dostum’s Office, the government leaders discussed elections, the peace process, the formation of the new Grand coalition, and Nezamuddin Qaisari’s case.
The meeting stressed on holding on time and transparent election in the country, saying the election will be effective on the country’s status, said the statement.
They also discussed the ongoing efforts regarding the peace process and emphasized that the efforts should be stepped up regarding the reconciliation efforts, the statement added.
According to the statement, the first VP said movements and political coalitions are the achievements of democracy in Afghanistan and the new Grand Coalition will strengthen the establishment and brings reforms, not opposing it.
The detention of Nezamuddin Qaisari and his comrades who are in the detention facility of the National Directorate of Security, was on the issue discussed in the meeting. General Dostum emphasized on the release of Qaisari and his bodyguards.
After the meeting, Mr Dostum went to his office.
The first VP described his meeting with president Ghani as friendly and fruitful, adding that country’s major issues and ways to get out of the current problems were discussed during the meeting.
