First International Flight Lands in eastern Khost province
Afghanistan’s civil aviation authority announced that the first international flight took place from eastern newly built Khost airport.
The civil aviation authority said in a statement that Ariana Airlines made its first international flight from the United Arab Emirates to Khost Airport at 8:10 am on Thursday, carrying 90 passengers, which was warmly welcomed by the people of Khost province.
According to the statement, the airline’s international flights will continue every week at the airport.
Foreign airlines such as Al-Arabiya have also expressed interest in flying to the airport in separate letters, the statement added.
