If Government not Pay Attention, Eastern Provinces to Face Ghazni Destiny

A number of civil activists from eastern provinces of Afghanistan warned during a press conference in Kabul on Wednesday that “if eastern provinces are ignored, they will face Ghazni destiny.”
“the main source of increasing insecurity in eastern provinces, especially in Nangarhar, is the land grabbers and local bullies,” said Abdul Wodod Afghan, a civil activist. “these are individuals within the national unity government that support these local bullies which it deteriorates the security day by day,” he added.
Mr Afghan claimed that “some people within the government and eastern provinces try to turn east of Afghanistan into second Waziristan.”
“the national unity government does not have a particular strategy to control the security of large cities,” he continued.

The civil activists warn that if the government does not pay attention to the security situation in the eastern provinces, they will experience the bad situation of Ghazni province.
They called on the government to take a specific security strategy on agenda to curb the spies of neighboring countries and government oppositions.

“some people have a key role in making eastern provinces insecure by using government facilities,” said Mohammad Haroon, civil activist.
He called on the government to act against land grabbers and local bullies.
