Hekmatyar is Undeclared Emir of ISIL in Afghanistan

A few days ago, some Tajik sources have vowed that ISIL flag has been raised in Darqad district of Takhar province and Takhar’s security authorities confirmed it.

According to the information, Daesh’s flag was raised by members of Hezb-e Islami led by Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, but was downed by Taliban group and did not have permission to put it up.

According to Tajik’s Central Asia Radio, the members of Hezb-e Islami raised ISIL flag for several minutes in Darqad district of Takhar province, but it was lowered by Taliban group.

“Members of Hezb-e Islami led by Hekmatyar had raised ISIL flag ordered by the party’s leader,” said Tajik information sources relying on the information of Russian security agencies.

When the United States of America announced its new strategy on Afghanistan and South Asia which it stressed on destroying Taliban, Tajik analysts have come to a conclusion that Gulbuddin Hekmatyar who is accused of backing up ISIL by some countries like Russia, in cooperation with America has joined the government to expand Daesh in Central Asia.

There were also rumors that Hekmatyar is recruiting for Daesh group from the members of Hezb-e Islami which have not yet been denied or approved by the party.

Tajik sources continue to rely on the information provided by the Russian security agencies that senior Takhar officials know about the replacement of Daesh and that members of Hezb-e Islami join the terror group, but cannot confirm it due to political and security reasons.

The Afghan government, Hezb-e Islami, and the US troops are accused of equipping Daesh terror group and transferring them to the north of Afghanistan. It is said that Afghan national Security Council is directly involved in this issue.
