If Biometric Equipment Not Provided till 10 October, Election to be Held Without: IEC
Afghanistan’s IEC chief Gulajan Abdulbade Sayyad said Wednesday that if the government of Afghanistan does not provide the biometric equipment until 10 October, the upcoming election will be held without biometric system.

The IEC’s chairman emphasizes that the election is a red line and will not be delayed by any means.
However, the IEC agreed with one of the demands of the political parties to use biometric system in the election, but fears the equipment would not be provided on time.
Meanwhile, Hamayun Hamayun, a member of the Grand National Coalition accentuated on the utilization of Biometric system in the election, saying if the biometric system is not used in the election, the election will not be acceptable for them and continue their civil protests.
According to the member of the Grand National Coalition, the transparency of the electoral process will guarantee the political stability in the country.
