Hamdullah Mohib:
Interim Government means Permanent Opportunity for Foreign Interventions
Afghan National Security Adviser (NSA) says that if the Taliban had public base, religious legitimacy, and internal determination, they would continue inter-Afghan talks on the basis of “ceasefire”.
“Interim government means a permanent opportunity for foreigners to intervene in Afghanistan’s internal affairs,” tweeted NSA Hamdullah Mohib on Saturday. “Those who have not renounced violence during the peace talks must now realize that our people understand the value of democracy and the establishment, there is no longer an opportunity to implement any foreign agenda,” he said.
According to NSA, if the Taliban has public foundation, religious legitimacy, and internal determination, they would continue inter-Afghan talks on the basis of ceasefire.
President Ashraf Ghani has recently said that the interim government is paving the way for bloodshed in Afghanistan and that power must be transferred through elections and the will of the people.
