Iran’s Foreign Ministry Special Rep. Meets Taliban delegation in Doha
The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ special envoy for Afghanistan, Mohammad Ebrahim Taherian, on Monday discussed a range of issues with Taliban delegation headed by Mullah Baradar, the group’s political deputy in Doha.

The two sides held talks about Afghan refugees in Iran, border issues, Afghan-led and Afghan-owned inter-Afghan talks, and the current situation of Afghanistan, twitted Suhail Shaheen, a spokesman for the group in Doha.
On his part, Mullah Baradar said the group is committed to all the provisions of the agreement and Once their prisoners are released, they are ready to start inter-Afghan talks, he added.
On the other hand, Iranian Media outlets reported that Mr Taherian discussed de-escalation of violence in Afghanistan, the launch of intra-Afghan negotiations without interference from the foreign forces, the US in particular, as well as the common interests of Iran and Afghanistan.
