“Mullah Turab, a key member of Taliban militants arrested during an operation carried out by General Command of Police Special Units (GCPSU) in Chamtali village of Surkhrod district in eastern Nangarhar province,” said the statement.
According to the statement, three other armed Taliban fighters were also arrested during the operation.
Mullah Turab was the main planner and organizer of terrorist and destructive activities, armed assault and explosions in Surkhrod district and as well as in different parts of Nangarhar province.
In a separate report, GCPSU discovered and neutralized two suicide vests in Babos region of Pul-e Alam City, capital of Logar province, the statement added.
